btw a mate got stabbed multiple times in the spine; neurosurgeons said he would be vegetable...best case no walking, feeling etc.
Dude woke up with a boner and was so psych'd up he started walking 24 hours after surgery.... hahaha miracles happen huh.

Yes good outcome. Funniest is the boner...it inspired him to make his legs move, he was so excited.

Yeah close, pretty much an adopted brother.
Some guy wanted to prove how tough he is....word has it he has stabbed a few others..minor stabs tho.
My mate doesn't like to back down when words are exchanged, but he never saw a knife. All he remembers is getting weaker and weaker and wanting to go to sleep. His carotid artery was cut too in his neck, so lost alot of blood. one stab wound in the neck broke alot of pieces from a vertebrae and it had to be taken. They think the knife was inserted and twisted to cause the damage.
No doubt the stabber was trying to kill, not just maim..which is pretty intense.
Anyways He is walking, has his manhood and is generally pretty happy :)

Yeah I'm fine, I wasn't stabbed in the spine (sounds good, so brutal)
Just totally tired from the mental/emotional preparation of having to 'put down' a vegetable, to supporting a mate who may never walk again; but that didn't happen :D
Nothing a little champagne & spliff doesn't fix :D
 
Was the name of your friend's surgeon Jack Shephard?
