BOLLOCKS!

Eggs Mayonnaise

All In With The Nuts
heehee, they let O'Brien say that in S6's "Time's Orphan". Probably the first time that word was allowed on American television.

Are you sure Phil Collins didnt use it in Miami Vice?

Shame they never let him say feck.

Remember when the upstairs landlord in Mork and Mindy was called Mr Wanker?

Wanker was also Peggy Bundy's maiden name.

I saw that one recently and giggled a little when he said it.

I'm not sure why bollocks is a bad word.

Because its another word for balls

Well.. you can say balls on TV here, but you can't say "suck my balls".

Cartman says that all the time

Yeah, but South Park is on a cable channel, they can get away with more. On regular TV you can refer to your balls as balls, but suggesting someone do something to your balls is a no no... I think.

The FCC is weird about what is ok to say on tv/radio and what is not.

Why is swearing not allowed on regular tv? What would happen if someone swore? Would THE DEAD WALK, CATS MARRY DOGS?

yes.

p.s.we don't mind the dead walking part, it's the cats marrying dogs that must be sanctioned!!

Because the FCC is moronic, the only people who complain are people with little better to do.

The idea of the FCC rules have to do with "over the air". This is why they can't (yet) touch Satellite radio. I'm not sure why they regulate Cable tv, athough they dont really do much with PPV networks like Showtime.

The FCC should be limited, you should be able to say fuck you bitch on TV.

I don't think I'd want to do that on TV.

The FCC is just another layer of government bureaucracy.. it makes money when someone says fuck on TV.

So how did they get away with saying "shit" on Cop Drama?

It only dawned on me in the second episode of Dexter that the characters were swearing. It's so refreshing to watch an American tv show where people are talking how they do in real life instead of being "darned to heck" or something.

I've noticed over here they're getting increasingly relaxed about everything, which is really positive. There are boobs popping up at all hours of the day.

Dexter is a Showtime original series, which is why they can say fucking shit. They had to clean it up to air it on regular TV though.
