I met Rory McGrath (sort of) around 25 years ago in Brighton Pavilion. I spotted him and shouted "RORY!" at him, and he waved sheepishly at me.

Another one of my classic celebrity encounter anecdotes!

I think I actually felt a bit sorry for McGrath when I first watched that episode but...

In January 2017, McGrath was sentenced to 10 weeks in jail, suspended for 18 months, for harassing a former lover.

He probably deserved worse.

I figured this was a good place to ask this. Does anyone across the pond have a line on Sean Lock's Purple Van Man? I've looked on youtube, dailymotion and such and all I can come across is Lockipedia.
