Well everyone, after years of working my way through the ranks, contributing as much as I could to wordforge (please stop - ) I have been asked to resign from my position of tech admin here.

As you may be aware, I never wanted to step down as owner. However I had alienated myself amoungst the staff and some posters at some point, where I reached a point I had to either start firing people who disagreed with me, potentially causing lasting resentment and problems - or stepping aside for Elwood - which I did.

The new "Codename Prometheus" unfortunately directly clashes with my style of coding and development of minor addons, and both Elwood and I can see that I'm not one to just stop and wait in this way, in fact I wish I could do much more!

I have a huge amount of disagreements with many aspects in which the board is now being run, but since I know I am biased on the matters due to the fact I am attacked on a near daily basis and reminded 'It's not your board anymore ', as well as the fact I know I am the sort of person to reject any sort of conservative reforms, I will say no more on various matters as I must judge myself insufficiently objective.

Elwood will not remove them on the basis that he feels he owns the rights to them. However I disagree on this point and I would appreciate a boycot of these smileys in response to my treatment as as whole on this issue.

I think my favourite thing on wordforge ever was the QWF thread, a forum that will now be forever without a modertor until it is closed

Wordforge doesn’t have trolls dear just actors who only play the same role over and over again.
 
I'm just gonna sit back, put my feet up on my desk, watch the whole sordid affair unfold...

So they moved the thread right away to prevent staff bashing? Well isn't that interesting? And what on earth is going on over there? I havent read the HD in ages and the climate is very much changed. Too bad.....

I've been saying it, but no one's listening. WF has become a full fledged troll board, but the members are in a delusional state of denial.

Now would be a good time for an, er, friendly excursion, if ya know what I mean... ;)

And, yeah, the thread was moved. The admins and mods have transformed themselves into some kind of cyber Untouchables, or something. Very TrekBBS like...

Amoung other people.

My admin powers were stripped from me and I was asked to resign. Because had I had last minute access, let's say I would have remained admin for a LOOONG time, again and again :D

Meh, I'm not too resentful, it was a sensible move considering what I'm like.

MM, why don't you go fuck yourself or remove my PMs from the board?

If you do, I will be civil towards you again.

you as much as said WF isn't licensed... what gives?

Possibly Darwin too, but I'd be surprised if anything is actually developed on wordforge that gets applied, considering vb is not open source to non licence holders.

Vbulletin is only open source to licence holders such as myself, Elwood and up to 5 people each of us designate as tech people.

Hacks for it if based on other people's stuff released at vb.org (e.g most stuff) cannot be developed as if they were REALLY open source.
