Can desk crap reach critical mass?

I ask because the alternative is cleaning it up, and that is a job for another day.

As it has been for many other days now.

My desk is immaculate, i would have an OCD attack if i left work with a shitty mess on my desk. If u were OCD u'd be a neat freak too Whisky.

You need an ASSistant.

Rake it all off into a garbage can and start over.

You know it's bad when your desk crap has an entire ecosystem of its own.

I can find everything the way it is.

Everytime I start storing things neatly out of sight in drawers and boxes I forget about them and end up buying a goddamn repalcemnt for something I had all along.

I like to throw my desk crap away, and then freak out cause I threw away some important passwords.

This is a true phenomenon, and deserves serious and helpful answers.

Yes indeed, desk crap and even a "to-do" list in general can reach such proportions as to be overwhelming, at which point the person responsible just says "fuck it" because they don't know where to start and it looks like they will never finish.

It's imperative to not let stuff get that bad in the first place. If you're already there...the only alternative is to buckle down, break the projects into smaller pieces with the most important stuff on the top of the pile, get rid of all distractions, shut off the computer or at least don't load the browser with your favorite online thing to do and just get to it.

If you can't then commit suicide.

IS there a way to put one poster's av on ignore/

For me clutter isn't an option. I use a heavy amount of applications from web development software, video audio and image editing software and a whole host of other apps and having it all haphazardly strewn across the desktop would be too much to bear.

I like to keep things tidy and organized. Everything has its place and is easy to get to:

Cleanliness is mandatory, including desks; and the unclean are akin to diseased lepers.

Btw nice desk top, owner of weazels!
