Cassie have you read 'Fevre Dream'?

Hmm, the ones I have downloaded are the first four but the fifth is called Children of the Mind. IS A KJA MONSTROSITY?

Children of the Mind is by Orson Scott Card, it's one of the Ender books. It's a good book, though. Have you read Ender's Game?

No, haven't read it, maybe in 2009. Why would it be stuck in with Dune books? TO TRICK ME?

I don't know anything about downloading books, so maybe it was just a mistake?

MAYBE YOU SHOULD USE YOUR BENE GESSERIT TRAINING TO FIND OUT

Any road followed precisely to its end leads precisely nowhere. Climb the mountain just a little bit to test that it's a mountain. From the top of the mountain, you cannot see the mountain.

Do you wrestle with dreams?
Do you contend with shadows?
Do you move in a kind of sleep?
Time has slipped away.
Your life is stolen.
You tarried with trifles.
Victim of your folly.

:rwmad: now I want to read Dune again and I just read it a couple months ago.

I'm still not clear on if the Duke died when he bit his poisoned tooth (or whatever it was). It seemed like he was still alive but everyone's been talking about him being dead for the last 100 pages or so, so I guess he's dead. I should pay attention.

Enders Game is the only SF book I know of to be Officially Endorsed by the United States Marine Corps!

That series is a bit tough to follow, what with the sequal a thousand years in the furture, and the sequals in the time period as the first book, from different characters perspectives...

I liked the one about Bean, tho!

Wacky: The Duke is dead, there was no way for him to avoid the poison gas, since it was in his mouth. I'm not sure where you are in the book exactly but if you are at least 100 pages past there Jessica and Paul should be in the desert, this is where the book really starts getting interesting, imo.

Dork: I've read all but the last of the Ender's Game books, I think... unless Card has written more that I don't know about. I enjoyed all of them, but none of them were as good as the first.

Yeah, Paul killed some Fremen in a duel and there's an elfin faced girl sniffing around his crotch. Jessica is probably my favourite character.

That was Jamis he killed.. and that poem type thingy I posted earlier was the dirge for Jamis.

Jessica is pretty cool, especially where you are in teh book because Paul is just a kid and she is kick ass. Shit.. lol has she drank the Water of Life yet?

Paul is a she?

I think I missed something....! which book is that from?

lol, no Paul is a he and Jessica is a she, I just said it wrong. Haven't you ever read Dune curiousa2z? Your library has to have it, it's the best selling sci fi adventure of ALL TIME. It is also my favorite book of all time, I've probably read it 15 times.

I just realised that Tatooine is a total rip-off of the planet from Dune. Obvious, really.

Oh yeah, I read that whole thing. STILL it's a tribute, not a rip-off (which is why he mentions the Spice mines of Kessel or whatever.)

Yeah, I think Lucas was very much impressed with Dune and incorporated some of the ideas into Star Wars with the best intentions.

3PO and R2 are just MErry and Pippen with OIL
