Cats are not like babies

I can appreciate that pets bring a lot of enjoyment into peoples lives, and that people might think of them as part of the family, but some cat owners are insufferably smug and think just because they have a cat that's not been run over yet, or hasn't managed to drown itself in the washing machine, this somehow equates to actually having a child of your own.

Say what you like about babies, but if you keeled over and died, your baby would eventually die too, it wouldn't wait an hour then start eating you.

O RLY?

Note I said some, meaning there are some cat owners that are ok, like you if you have one, for example

Dogs are better. Okay, they're a bit dim, every so often the local news has a story about some epilepsy sufferer whose dog dialed 999. Cats would just look on with an expression of superiority and let you die.

Cats are exactly like babies right down to the smallest detail, IMMHO.

Cats aren't as affectionate as babies or dogs, but they're more self-reliant, which surely counts for something!

Cats are fucking annoying whenever you're trying to cook anything...

I'm more a fan of cats then dogs, although I'm not a pet person really.

As long as having a dog means having to pick up someone else's feces every day, I'll be more of a cat person than a dog person.

And that is what it means.

And dog is god backwards. That's annoying too.

Yeah plus most puppies grow into dogs too big to pick up and cuddle. Unlike cats.

So dogs are like babies, then?

My cats are awesome. Would you like one or two or three?

If my finances were better I'd gladly take three cats. Sadly I can barely afford to feed myself let alone a cat.

I can't imagine taking care of more than one cat.

If you walk your dogs in a timely manner, they won't poop on the carpet.

I am allergic to cats. Dogs > cats.

Used to have three cats and then they died. Then my parents got two more and then they died.

They'll do that.
