So yesterday was my annual Christmas in the woods party. IF YOU MISSED ME THAT'S WHERE I WAS. Santa said OMG HAI! Also, dongs.

Santa said "Dongs", like he was bringing one for Xmas? Because I actually already got one and I'm trying to decide who to give it to...it's already wrapped and everything, I just gotta poke some airholes in the box for shipping purposes...

I am always open to receiving an extra dong for my collection.

Did Mrs Claus come too or did you get to fuck Santa?

Mrs Claus was there, THE BITCH.

Cock-blocker! OR SHOULD I SAY CLAUS-BLOCKER LOL.

My Christmas party was on Friday -- the company shipped a Harry & David assortment to each of us at home, and we got together online for a "company year in review" presentation and chat.

There was good news: last year's cost-cutting worked, we did better than expected, so we're getting Christmas bonuses.

It would have been more fun to all be in the same room with some cookies and booze, but I'll take what I can get.

I was invited to a fancy holiday party on Saturday night, with old piano bar friends and a couple of celebrities (even rumors of Liza!), but I've had a miserable cold all weekend, so instead I've been on the couch, doped up on NyQuil. Wheeeee!

I went to a Christmas thing at my friends church today . It was ok.

It should've been better than okay. I mean, they invented Christmas (sort of), you'd think they'd have perfected Christmas parties by now. You've had 2,000 freakin years, HELLO?!

Couldn't you guys have arranged a party at someone's apartment or gone for a meal or something? Having an online Xmas party sounds like something that'd happen in an Arrested Development/Curb type world.

Christmas with the crazy Bohemian's Saturday was fantastic, especially with all their homemade Czech food. And then we all watched the Cowgirls beat the Saints, so good times were had by all.

[business]Xmas party was Thursday and they have this fricking genius of a caterer who delivers :melons wrapped in prociutto; some kind of deep-fried mushroom thing with mystery spices; savoury tartlettes that were incredible. Then a roast beef that was as tender as BUTTER, garlic mashed potatoes to die for; a secret roasted baby pototoes thing I couldn't analyze; three green salads;a fabulous green bean/carrot/almond side dish; belgian chocolate torte, carrot cake, small truffles and and assorted squares.
When I asked what the caterer's name was, the hostess made Baby Jeebus Weep and lied to my face and said "I dont know what her last name is[even though I just wrote her a check ] I just know her as "ELKE". suuuuure... I have never seen this Elke - they hide her face so no one else can hire her. BASTRADS.

Tonight's my Solstice meal and thus far I've got the following menu planned:
oysters steamed in white wine (served with garlic butter); butternut/apple /carrot soup;
buns; pork loin roast with orange/cranberry sauce with roasted potatoes and onions; a vegetarian side dish that is basically a spanikopita; and havent decided on dessert yet.

^I'll be right over!

Our Christmas bonus this year was not getting laid off.

heh.

It was one of those music oriented things with choirs and singing hymns. Which was good, but not something I'm particular into.

My friend and his sisters did participate and did a choir thing together that was pretty good.

Better than not getting laid.

Did Santa have anything special in his sack for you, Cassie?

EGGNOG!

The classic kind with rum (or whatever) in it, or the stuff you get at the supermarket?

I still have my eggnog v-card. Can't decide who to give it to; Laird or James!

I had some eggnog/rum last night. Which reminds me, I need to take a poll on dark rum vs. white rum....next time I'm online. now back to the kitchen....
