It's a pretty bad advert.
 
Well yeah. But the outrage has been a $5000 fine for a $5 crime.

Using an 80s new wave ballad, it hits all the young Boomers and older Gen Xers right where they live.

The BBC's Christmas ident is annoying farmers because it has vegans in it, or something?

 
But vegans have more expendable income and thus are preferred target ad demos over dirty farmers or something.
 
I guess farmers want to keep veganism a secret.

M&S seem to have several different Christmas ads so I don't know which is the "main" one. This one has lots of downvotes.



Food one is really bad with the most annoying music ever.



M&S usually have good Christmas ads, can HEADVOID explain what went wrong this year?
