I've been grinding it by hand. It's weaker than instant but addiction always makes one do strange things.

I've always made instant but ran out this evening. Luckily, I have 3 bags of some imported beans from..... Flushing, N.Y.

It's very good, I think I will 'convert.'

The blender worked beautifully. Why bother with french presses?

I found an old coffee machine. Filters were easily substituted with a paper towel. Although it's making rather strange noises, I can see the good stuff starting to appear.

What can I say? I like coffee.

Because the aesthetic is fun. The house fills with that good coffee smell, and the result is a fucking ACE blast of caffeine, which I love.

Plus it's all renewable that way. No mess, and the coffee grounds go in the compost.

See, I drink coffee and get to go to heaven when I die.
