I'm amazed how many people don't understand the true meaning of the word.
It is a plan involving more than one person to commit a crime.
Imagine if you were a billionaire oil tycoon. All is well for you and your rich friends, until one pest claims to have discovered a cheaper source of power which could result in your financial empire crashing down upon your head and leave you begging for change on a street corner.
"Messenger, people are not silenced or even murdered for monetary purposes in this day and age. It is unfathomable!"
That is exactly how naive so many people sound when they dismiss very valid inconsistencies and startling "coincidences" that must fuel the paranoia of a few crackpots living in a trailer. I think they've been watching too much X-Files and forget that there exist greedy, murderous people in positions of power.
"But the government has to tell the truth. It sounds very official, and my TV box confirms it!"
