I downloaded the first episode of this Canadian sci-fi show just because people were talking about it on TrekBBS. It's about a time travelling cop trying to stop time travelling terrorists. It was okay. It seemed really low budget though. Probably because it's Canadian. Don't know if I'll watch it again. I can already feel my interest wane.

I watched the second episode. Rachel Nichols is avery attractive lady and I like some of the FUTURE TECH but there's still no reason why anyone but me should watch this yet.
 
Third episode was better than the second. The terrorists were developed a bit more (and one of them's hot!) Will continue watching!
 
Up to episode six. Still not sure if I actually like it because my brain has losts all abilitiy to tell if it is enjoying something or not. It's kind of interesting at least? Rachel Nichols is good, the main guy is kind of dull. WILL REPORT BACK NEXT TIME.
 
A lot of good shows are filmed in Canada. It's just that the actual good ones are paid for by American production companies.

Does the show steal any ideas from Torchwood? It would seem to me that it would have to. Either that, or that terrible VanDam (idontcareifitsspeltwrong) flick.
 
It doesn't have much in common with Torchwood. I haven't seen Time Cop. It had a time travelling cop though. So probably.
 
So I finished the first season (ten episodes.) It was...okay. The finale seemed to throw a lot of new things in there, like a kind of Twelve Monkeys inspired character and a cop seeing Keira using her future tech and the main terrorist died and it's all looking like a pre-destination paradox. It was a good finale for the show, but makes me wonder if they really wasted time with that episod with Helo from BSG in it and that episode about the video game (maybe they were the same episode, I can't remember now.) And they probably did. This is an okay show but lacking spark. It's more "serious" than something like Alphas but Alphas has really well realised characters who talk to each other in a natural way and Continuum...not so much. It's okay. I can't really recommend it. Maybe if it gets a second season that builds on the more interesting aspects of the first.
 
Any episode with Helo in it is a waste. Did he do something tremendously stupid, then get rewarded for it?

It can't be that bad if you watched it all. Maybe I'll download a few episodes once the post Olympics depression sets in.
 
Well there was a desire to see where they were going with everything and see if the story held together (it kind of did) and it's not like I have anything better to do...

Helo does indeed get rewarded for questionable actions and seemed like he'd be a recurring character (maybe in season two.)
 
SyFy is going to air the show, but I don't know when. How are they going to squeeze it into their busy haunted dishwasher schedule?

These are REAL SHOWS. I left off the ones I listed earlier that are on the SyFy channel. The SyFy channel has 4 more in development. Most of these shows are on channels that are or used to be more respectable, like The Travel channel, or Discovery or Nat Geo, or the laughably named TLC (the learning channel, lol).
