David Mitchell has not been cast as Bilbo in The Hobbit.
 
But it would be inspired.
 
I hear Barbara Windsor is in with a shout. "GERROUT OF MAH HOBBIT-HOLE!!!"
 
I still don't believe Johnny Vegas's story he always tells that he was second choice for Sam (maybe I shouldn't listen to Johnny Vegas interviews.)
 
His dad skinned his pet rabbit for tea once though, apparantly that was true.
