DC Starbucks strikes a blow against cisnormative society

I have no interest in seeing a guy pee into a urinal.

I'm grateful this would never fly where I live...

Shhhhhh! Don't say that too loud. Sausagebrain will call you a racist.

Actually, I'd expect "Sausageman" to call "Friday" a retard (), for not reading the article properly. Clearly, there isn't going to be a urinal welcoming you as you enter the room; as the scheme concerns single-occupancy restrooms only, and specifically states that a change in signage would be the only necessary difference in practice. There's no reason why this shouldn't 'fly' everywhere.

I admit to just skimming the article.

I still wouldn't want gender neutral bathrooms. I like my doilies and lace when I pee!

Lots of places around here have a single bathroom for everyone to use. Mostly small places, like restaurants. I don't mind using them, as long as they're not nasty. EVERYBODY POOPS.

On the other hand, I'm sure the guys are glad there are separate bathrooms at really big places, otherwise they'd have to pee in the bushes. Girls bathrooms always have long lines!

A couple of years ago at New Year's in central London they basically had giant buckets next to Big Ben for us menfolk to piss in. I mean, they were molded plastic, looking vaguely ergonomic, but they were giant buckets. Full to the brim by the time I needed to take a leak, and they were placed in lines facing eachother. So you saw everyone's junk and everyone saw yours. And it was outside. And it was freezing cold. It wasn't pretty.

Sounds liek it would have been just as good to let the guys pee on the ground.
