More likely it has to do with the way he creates. Give him a saw, some wood, nails, a hammer - he can create something he understands. His creativity is locked up in pounding violence, destroying in order to build. It has to have definable measure he can take a tape to. It has to have a form that fits a rigid description. The beauty he understands is on the same plane as Neon's poetry but it doesn't function in the only way he understands. His mind is in a box - which he created with a quality of beauty and form that can be measured - which he can not think outside of - because he built his box very well.
