Did You Know???

I think we covered this -- some people actually want to watch the show unfold.

Or at least think they do, until it does, and they are let down.

It's like being a Cubs fan, really. ;)

Thats in the NFL right?

Yeah, the "twists" they added this year pretty much ruined the game, although the real problem was in the people they cast. They were either shallow people looking for 15 minutes of fame, or geeky rabid BB fans, or just plain freaks that BB must not have checked too thoroughly.

That sounds EXACTLY like our BB this year. The housemates are too savvy, with the winner probably being the biggest BBUK geek ever, having every episode of every series on video under his bed. And there were so many twists that barely a week went by when there were normal nominations(which are the BEST part of the show, because housemates are forced to say mean things about eachother).

See, I could have lived with our resident BB nerd winning (Eric, America's Player), or his newfound girlfriend Jessica.

But instead, a middle-aged rock-n-roll bartneder who is a total blowhard prick, and his whiny spoiled daughter who left home twice in the past 5 years, are going to win it all. The only fun left is watching them fight over the money depending on who gets the $500K and who gets the $50K.

The supposed "drama" this season was watching them try to mend their relationship, but it's been mostly bullshit. She still can't stand him, but she learned pretty fast that it pays to have someone in the game who would basically die for you. So she sort-of aligned with him (meaning, she let him do her dirty work and be mean to people while she won games).

It's been rather sickening to watch, really.

Why watch part of the Emmy's when you can check the internets the next day and find out the same information?

They had Brian and Stewie from Family Guy in teh beginning.

They took a vicious jab at "Scrubs" and Zach Braff in that song. Something about being on for 7 1/2 years, and proving that a sitcom doesn't actually have to be funny to last.

Yeah. What can I say? I'm a geek. I like game shows and award shows.

Ryan Seacrest is a classless, talentless clod. Why/how he makes any money at all in this business is a mystery to me. Plus he's a closet queen. And I hope he stays there. I sure as hell wouldn't want him speaking for ME.

Ryan Seacrest was a drive time DJ on Star 98.7 in L.A. and I remember being positive that he was as gay as Matthew Shepard mixed with Teena Brandon when he told of his quiet nights at home enjoying a soak in the tub with a nice glass of wine and scented candles. There's no metro about that sexual, it's 100% homo.

Most FM DJ's are hacks, so it is no suprise they employe Seacrest.

I used to like S&M on NRK

And Loveline, when they still had Rikki Rachman

Keep in mind, Love line isnt what I was refering too, I was talking about FM DJ's, not talk shows.

Doesn't James Spader win every year? Hugh Laurie for the win.

Battlestar Galactica should have won whichever emmy it was up for too.

I know BSG won one Emmy f or the special effects in Exodus pt 2.

Actually Loveline used to be a late night radio show on KROQ in L.A. I've been listening to Loveline since I was 13 years old, long before it became an MTV thing. It was originally hosted by Poorman and Lewis Largent and Dr. Drew (Now totally famous) Pinsky only had a tiny little segment. Dr. Drew's wife was a caller Poorman set him up on a blind date with.

I can still hear the DJs in my head singing, "LOOOOOOOVELIIIIIIINE!"

They spent the entire special effects budget for the whole season Exodus 2 so damn right it should win!

He won once before, also he previously won as Guest Actor when it was still The Practice.

Hugh Laurie won a Golden Globe, didn't he? I think I remember that...

After tonight we are free of BB for another year!!!

We aren't even getting Celebrity BB in January next year (it's usually better than the normal one.)

VH1 has The Surreal Life which is sort of a celebrity BB, but it's a low-class affair. The celebrities are the "notorious" kind, or else washed-up.

It spawned whole new careers for Flava Flav and Brigitte Nielsen with spinoff shows.

I watched the one with Flava Flav and Brigitte. That was a good one. I liked the one with Ron Jeremy too.

DID YOU KNOW THERE IS NOTHING ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT EITHER? Rescue Me's season finale was last week, I think Wednesday night is going to be a waste land until Lost comes back on.

That new Kelsey Grammer sitcom is supposed to be on wednsdays...
