I just had some retard over at scifi-meshes bump nearly a year old thread where I was making an "original series BSG Viper", I put those in speech marks, because that was also the title of the thread.

Then the brain of Britain comes along and tells me its all wrong and proceeds to tell me in detail, a description of the viper from the new show.

So I am guessing hes not even aware there is an old BSG, and the old cylons in Razor will mean absolutely nothing to him.

Still at least he can enjoy the other new shows that aren't remakes, like knight rider, and the bionic woman.

I imagine there are a few youngsters who weren't born yet when TOS was on.. but still if they are fans of TNS then they should at least have an idea.. especially since there's been the big controversy over Starbuck being female from the beginning. Maybe whoever did that hasn't had internet access for the last 3 years.

Knight Rider isn't sci-fi so he won't enjoy that!

Thanks to my crusade in QS&F, it is back to being sci fi again.

It was funny how Neroon kept arguing even after everyone else in the entire world said he was wrong.

They had a staff vote, it was said to be almost unanimous, I guess we know who voted the other way.

It kinda is, as a sub-genre. Of course, it's main genre is a blend of primarily action, with a dash of detective. But we don't have self-aware Trans-Ams driving around quite yet, or plastic surgery as effective as that carried out on 'Michael Knight' to anonymise him, so there's Sci-Fi in there.

Its an in joke Chris, a few weeks back I complained at TrekBBS that knight rider threads were getting moved to general tv and media from the sci fi forum.

Neroon kept insisting it wasnt sci fi because everything kitt can do is real now, quite rightly everyone else insisted we are nowhere near that stage, he was eventually forced by the other mods to allow knight rider to stay in the sci fi forum

Ah. Well, that's fanboy TrekBBS mods for you.

I remember when Neroon kept moving Joan of Arcadia posts out of sci-fi/fantasy because "some people believe God speaks to them." SERIOUSLY. It was a show about a teenage girl who was given a task by "God" (taking the form of an ordinary person) every week. Neroon thinks that really goes on!

it doesn't?

LOL, Rich. I read that thread earlier this evening. Your response was a CLASSIC. :D

Still, though, you have to admit the two vipers probably look the same to someone who only has a passing interest in the series. I remember originally thinking they used the Mk.I when I saw publicity pics, only to notice that the Mk.II was a new model once I watched the series. Surely everyone knows there was a '70s BSG series?

How depressing. If thye don't know about the old BSG series, that means that LORNE GREENE is someone they've never heard of.

They only know Dirk Benedict from Celebrity Big Brother!

And Richard Hatch as Tom Zarek...

So that one works out well then.

OR does it create a paradox that tears space time?

Zeus has returned to Olympus!

Insert snarky 300 animated gif here.

I'll just imagine it.
