Oh, hell, if there was any canon or continuity to The Simpsons, Bart would be closing in on middle age, Lisa would be a battered wife, Maggie would be in rehab for a heroin addiction, Homer would be long dead by heart attack, and Marge would have taken over as the Crazy Cat Lady.
