Oh, how my family and I laugh at our quaint racist phrases.

"Come on Little Sambo" my mother used to say to me with a cheeky grin on her face when I was being lazy (I believe it was a term of affection.)

Her other favourite was "Work like a little Indian" which she would have thought was a compliment to the countries inhabitants.

I don't think I will mention my Uncles phrases from "the lodge" as it was known.

The older people in my family still call a certain part of town the ###### quarters. When I was little that is what I thought it was really named.. till some ###### stabbed me.

I cringe when older members of the family mention "blackies". They mostly don't seem to realise it's offensive now, so I'm fucked if I can tell whether that's racialist or not.
