Just like with Obama, there is so much emphasis on the least important things possible. Color, sex, etc. And very little on what really matters; leadership, skills, qualifications, ideology, etc. We're electing the most powerful person ON EARTH, not class president. Whether they are male, female, black, white, yellow, gay straight, etc. is the furthest possible thing from my mind. It's so far down on the list of things that are important, that it might as well be trivia. I wish people would understand this.
 
I don't remember reading anything about Bush being super qualified for the office either. Though he was qualified to run it into the ground. Like a few private corporations he chaired.....

We all know Bush was an imbecile. So were quite a few of our presidents. Doesn't change my point. I facepalm when I hear people say "We need a woman president" or "It's about time we had a black president" We need a person who can DO THE FUCKING JOB. People treat this like we're organizing a flower bouquet or a bowl of M&Ms. People who vote for someone because of their skin color, sex, etc are too stupid to be voting.
 
I wouldn't vote for Palin. I think it is some spin hoping to make her seem like a plausible candidate for the Republican party. As someone noted above, it would guarantee the Democrats stay in the White House.
