TV Doctor Who franchise 2026–?

A video of a Spock doll, perched on a chair got more views and a better review than Starfleet Academy:
LOOL, yeah... I posted that in the SFA thread, and the usual goofs swooped in and talked about what a horrible person Nerdrotic is, blah blah.

I thought it was hilarious... that and the PSA vid of Shatner eating a bowl of cereal also pulling more views.

It is rewarding that we seem to finally be in the "...win stupid prizes" phase of the game.

Nerdrotic is the one who sold meth to schoolchildren, right?

Story I heard was that some Jewish chick paid him a lot of cash to dress up as an SS officer and "rape" her. Neighbors heard the screaming, police broke in, there was a misunderstanding, yada yada.

No seriously, he used to be a burgler and a druggie. Never heard about selling meth to kids, but I guess the little fucks needed to stay awake in class.

(The SS story actually happened with someone else down in Pensacola back in the 90s, or so Blondie told me. She said a female Jewish Naval officer pulled that stunt and got in serious trouble.)

I guess this is a big deal to the nerds!

So in the US, the Eccelston through Whittaker eps will now stream exclusively on AMC+, yet another streamer I have never subscribed to...

‘Doctor Who’ Lands U.S. Streaming Home At AMC+ - Deadline

Not sure what this means for any new upcoming episodes, but whatever the deal is, I'm sure it will be inconvenient.

I guess Disney gets to hold Ncuti's episodes hostage forever. Whether they continue to air them or delete them, time will tell.

Are there any spoilers for the Billie Piper episode out there? (Maybe it hasn't filmed yet, I don't know.)

They might not even start until August

Out to tender, no longer a BBC production, no Christmas Special.

Essentially the second era is over, killed by the same person who brought it back, thanks RTD.

Just confirmation about what we were hearing.

Adios RTD. You brought that show back from the dead only to take it out with your stupidity.

It was a co-production with Bad Wolf and Disney, now they're both gone, I assume the BBC will still co-produce with whoever takes over in 2048 or whatever.

(He just can't help coming across as smug, can he.) What I find weirdest is he claims there never was a script for the Christmas Special. But it was supposed to come out six months from now. So it was always a lie? If they'd really been planning it they surely would have had a script by now.

I'm pretty sure we'll never get a resolution to the Billie Piper cliffhanger either, the next Doctor (in 2048 or whatever) will just say "well, I'm looking quite DIFFERENT now, aren't I!" to a mirror or something.
