So we have a new Dr Who but it should be no surprise to anyone since he just played W.H.O. Doctor in WWZ! The clues were out there!

Interesting choice. My first exposure to Capaldi was as the drag queen Vera Reynolds in Prime Suspect 3.

That 3rd edition of PS also introduced me to Ciaran Hinds, Danny Dyer, David Thewlis, James Frain, and Jonny Lee Miller.

They had good casting people on those shows.

Peter Davison and Bernard Cribbins aside, the quality of guests on the live show was fucking atrocious.

Was the show done on such short notice they just grabbed the nearest people from the BBC canteen?

I don't know what outnumbered is, but considering the kid was on screen for longer than the 12th Doctor himself, I guess it must be an important flagship program for the BEEB.
