Everytime I see Top Gear it's so obviously faked that I have to turn over. "Oh, we built a car out of wood, BUT WE'VE ACCIDENTALLY DRIVEN IT ONTO THE MOTORWAY LOL WE COULD DIE THIS IS ALL REAL!"
The Gadget Show is the same. Every week they have a totally fake "challenge" (ostensibly to test out some "tech"), and every week by some miracle it's a neck and neck finish.
The principle of "False Jeapordy" is so over used now on television that it has become a joke in itself.
Top Gear is just tired and pointless. I don't actually hate it as much as I used to, apathy has overtaken my emotions.
But the revealing of Stig is more about BBC protecting their commercial interests. The guy broke his contract, and they had big plans for a "STIG annual and stickerbook" or some such shit.
