RIP 1970~2018
My car is worth $4500. I found out today that it needs $3000 worth of work. It has 160,000 miles on it.

If I put $3000 dollars into it I'll have a $7500 car worth $4500. With 160k miles on it.
 
Is it transmission? Do yoy have the sane money to spend on a new car?

This is one reason I moved closer to work and to the city.If my vehicle breaks down my commute will be ok.

It needs timing chains/guides and whatnot front and back replaced. This requires the FUCKING ENGINE to be removed.

$2300 labor + $700 parts

!

Unfortunately for me I trust the mechanic who did the diagnosis so I'm pretty sure he's right.

And no, no money for a new car.

I just spent over 1000 on bs and now I need about 650 more on important shit!

Mind you mine is worth more. It isn't paid off though.
