Donuts or Doughnuts?

I had a few heaping handfuls out of my can of Planters Mixed Nuts earlier.

I GET A SALT FIX I NEED TO FEED ONCE IN A WHILE.

Some people have a sweet tooth -- I crave salty food. Extra points if it's in the service of something fried.

Sorry, couldn't resist, but really we could talk about peanuts, and green beans, and nuts and cashews.

Someone brought back some nuts in shells from N.Carolina and there were 3 nuts in each shell! I was so shocked. A 3 nut shell.

They'll be no talk of green beans unless your mixing them with a heavy dose of garlic and onion. They set off my gag reflex....not touching that one, ok CaptainWacky?

I have never had dunkin donuts. Tim's are excellent, but the coffee is liquid excrement, and since the whole point of stopping at a Timmys is because you're driving five million kilometers to visit relatives somewhere and are trying not to fall asleep and kill everyone around you, I suffer greatly.

Anyone hear ever eat deep fried donuts? Some fairs have fried oreos & twinkies, but I mean buying doughnuts from Dunkin Donuts, Tim Horton's, Entenmann's, or elsewhere, then DEEP FRYING them. I've NEVER had this delicacy of a desert, and NO establishment AFAIK serves such a thing, but deep fried donuts would be one VERY fat lipid rich artery clogging treat. Zeppoles are a doughnutoid treat. Ditto with deep frying zeppoles too!

I wonder HOW MUCH fat, sodium, etc et al is added to foods when they're deep fried?
