OH! Had a variation on the office dream this morning. Let's see how much I can remember:
A few bigwigs have to fly somewhere for an last minute meeting. I'm supposed to come too but I'm supposed to get some things together first. This is taking longer than expected. While I'm doing that they call back and say another person needs to come, want to know why I'm still there, and say they've arranged my ticket for me.
We're finally ready to leave but there's some kind of elevator issue. It's a weird, conference room-sized elevator--basically, there's a lobby on every floor and the elevator is the end of the lobby--and it works more like a shuttle, where it arrives and departs on a schedule so you have to be there when it's time. So I'm waiting for the elevator or something, but then I need to step off real quick. I make it back as it is starting to leave and I essentially "get my foot in the door" so it can't leave without me--but for some reason the people on the elevator don't want to let me on. This standoff continues for a bit before I manage to get on. By this point I've gotten separated from the other guy and I don't know how I'm getting to the airport--or really any of the details. I also realize I drove to work that morning and parked on the street and my car will get towed if I don't move it. Anyway I can use my car to get to the airport. So I'm walking down streets, trying to remember where I parked. Probably not interesting to anyone but me, but the dream is set in Minneapolis, but the topography in the city is based on Portland (Minneapolis is fairly flat while Portland is on a ridgeline that leads down a river.)
