Discouraging the badlanders from any current changes only makes them try harder. Good job. Your support is appreciated. I can't say the same for your opinion.
 
He's always been an elitist. If the MF had elections and he wasn't already a super mod, he'd throw his name in the pot to be elected.

He's an avid poster on LoNAF. A site where admin elections are normal. All this gloom and doom shit is more than hypocritical.

How many times can I say it? EFCL died twice trying to go the route you're going. I'm just trying to save you the insanity.

My remarks (which don't really rise above snark, though some of you oversensitive types are taking them too much to heart) don't have anything to do with the Mine Field, or with LoNAF, or with my position here (it's admin BTW, not supermod :P ). It has everything to do with hello, you people are ruining a fun, silly forum by taking it too seriously.

LoNAF's elections are a breeze. The same people run, people take turns winning. I can run them in my sleep. No fuss, no mess. That's not a factor, so your "hypocrite" angle just dies on the vine. Same with the "elitist" angle; I'm actually trying to help here.

You're taking a source of recreation and relaxation, and turning it into work. Why? And if there's a good answer to that, then why not go the extra step of starting your own board? Why do you get to fragment TK and put walls around yourselves, and basically run your own mini-board on missmanner's dime? (I guess she can answer that as well as you can, but still)

I'm not looking to run anyone off, or to compare the MF to the BL to the XYZOMGBONC. The spam forums are supposed to be fun. In light of all the other fake drama that pops up on TK, why make even more for yourselves? I just don't get it.

And BTW, none of this will stop the floods. The best it will do is let people know where you keep the mops after they happen.

But hey, if you are enjoying yourselves, go for it. Mazel tov. I was just trying to be a bud. ;)
 
Eggs, thank you for your concern (this is meant seriously, no sarcasm intended).

As for me, well... I don't give a damn about the floods (never did), this is fun for me, and the second it will stop being that, I will stop being here. It is that easy, really, so all is well :)
 
I can understand Eggs' viewpoint, this sort of inane rule making and such completely guttered EFCL, once a very fine board. What he fails to understand is we know what mm is doing by getting us to muck about with rules and so forth and we are dancing along. And why not? It's got a beat, I say dance. We'll eventually end up with DP as mod even if we suffer through a stint of Flaccidarg modding the place. Posting here was in a lull, now look at the scurrying of the posters to and fro. I've finally come to realize [took me long enough] the Badlands will never the Minefield II, because the Badlands is all about the fake drama, which is what this all is, a production, a stage and we are all players.

So, Eggs, 'tis cool. You're shouting at the cast of Hamlet that we're going to die at the end, we know, we don't care.

When this election nonsense fails, I'll just go with the flow again.

I'm simply enjoying myself. You're the one screaming your head off that this will ruin everything. I really don't care one way or another.

Yes, because it is a 'troll' board there are times when we lose sight of some things. This post will be trolled, so what. There are admins here who care, and some like Eggs have stuck it out for years now despite everything, because he cares. There are a lot of good people I like on this board, and the spirit of TK is still around somewhere - tied up in a closet and begging for food, probably, but not dead yet at least.
