EI Needs more Admins and WD's...

LOl Rov is busy and yeah not posting much but that doesn't mean he isn't there. His lurkishness is rather scarey...

If CoyoteUgly became admin, half the mods would have to find something else to do...and Shal would be the first. She's been in a mod position too long.

Other than her, which ones would go? CoyoteUgly would pick half of them at random and flip the switch.

Damn I never really realized what a huge staff EI has. No wonder it takes so long to get agreement on some things. People streamline your staff for your sake and the boards.

Of course we know only a few strong headed folks lead that place and the others have no choice but to follow after all those long debates become such a burden, the weaker ones just give up by giving in.

Well, without breaking any WD rules or anything, this isn't far from the truth. However, I know that the quiet staff members aren't weak. I think they just don't get into the politics as much as some on Staff do. That makes many of them better mods in my opinion, because they don't power trip. I think the attitude of the mods in the Beach and the creative fora is.. "It's a message board for crying out loud." Which is a good attitude for letting people enjoy their time on a BBS.

That said, I'd have a completely different staff than you CU. I'd leave all the Community mods and Creative mods in place. They do a good job. How do I know they do a good job? Their forums just go on and on without much notice at all. Meaning those participants are happy. Jid and eryn do a good job in AQG, which actually is a tough forum to moderate, so I have come to approve of them.

I'd trim down the Admins, but I'd leave LoP, who happens to be the best man for the job bar none.

But, there are some willful and louder voices in the ML that do dominate. That's obvious from the amount of 'discussion' that has to take place. I'm here to report that it's true. That's not a crime, it's just the way it is. There a few insistent voices who take it all VERY seriously.


I'll leave it to everyone's imagination what I'd do with the Discussion area mods... * ;) *
