With Rooney sent off, Beckham injured and yet another penalty shoot-out England are out in the cruelest of ways yet again. History repeates itself and so comes the end of Englands World Cup dreams once more.

I'm pretty cut up about it right now, we showed real passion in the second half and with our diminished troops we held the deadlock. Hargreaves played brilliantly.

But those dreaded penalties...



What can I say? I'm English by the grace of God and my pride is not faltered, just my dreams tempered.
