Can I have Ops?
Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby wrote an advice book entitled The Best Friends' Guide to Life set to be published in October 2010

Since Holly and Fearne are such good pals, well – best friends – who’ve had tons of life experience, it’s seems fitting that they would team up and write their own book especially for ladies everywhere…and that is exactly what they have gone and done! The Best Friends Guide To Life, set for release in October, will see the girls drawing on their own experiences in life, love, friendship, work (and everything else!) as well as them sharing some embarrassing stories from their past. The book will also be jammed packed with beautiful photos of the girls from past to present and even a few from their personal photo albums thrown in too. Fearne describes how they came up with the idea for a book in the first place. “We thought there was a guide missing out there for people around our age or a bit younger, who need advice on different things. I don’t think there’s any limits for girls these days and that’s what this book is all about.
Hopefully lots of girls out there will really enjoy reading it and get good advice or solace from it because we’ve given a lot of stories and anecdotes from our past that I think people will relate to. Things that have been embarrassing or a nightmare or just brilliant. It’s always nice to know that your friends are going through the same thing as you so hopefully girls will read this and really relate to it and get something from it.”

I haven't managed to purchase the book as yet, so am going to have to imagine how fantastic their advice is going to be.

"Like if you want to avoid wet hair, I often carry a small umbrella"
"Complimenting people in an over the top manner is easy and can be considered sychophantic, but if you give a little giggle with it, and make eyes at the camera people like it."

And my favourite piece of advice?

"Holly tends not to open her mouth, because her head is mainly empty of any kind of thought, even though we are the BEST OF FRIENDS I disagree with Holly. I never have anything original or interesting in my head, but I never let that hold me back from speaking out. Be proud of yourself!"

Time for another "Put one of Tony Blair's books in the crime section of your bookshop" campaign. Moving this book to the "Tragic Life Stories" section?

I'm already wanking.
