Falling Skies

One of The Event's main characters was played by a former porn star, so if any show was going have someone come and flash their dick in your face, it'd be that.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE SKY TO FALL? New season starts June 9th, I think.

I hope it's better than last season, but as long as Ben's there it'll be watchable.

PREDICTION: As the group becomes short handed, Pope is put in charge of the whole camp, with the girl he raped second in command. "Looks like you're under me again" he says, with a big grin. Everybody laughs. "Oh, Pope, you are naughty!"

I want evil blonde girl (can't remember her name) to win and the show is about her being friends with aliens.

Two hour premiere TONIGHT.

Why does evil girl's spine glow like a cylon's? EXCEPT ORANGE.

That was pretty good. Hal is still laughably BAD... so bad. Karen is the big bad this season! It's silly that she's using her evil powers to lure Hal into the woods for sexy time. Pope is still hilariously disgruntled. THOSE DAMN MASONS!

I should have been watching this all along, but I was always afraid Noah Wyle might be chubby now or something, lol. I couldn't take that.

I had the great fortune to miss out on all of last season here, so after seeing last night's episodes I'll try to catch up.

Creepy hybrid-ish weird possessed baby that's probably the key to humanity's survival... check.

Glowing spine broad and GIANT Cylons... check.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend or is he?" trope... check.

John Locke not telling Dr. Carter about the mole list before the mole shows up and blows him away... check.

Delinquent kid who blows up buildings as a hobby with "you're not my mom" emo schtick... check.

Gratuitous pregnancy in the first place... check. (see also, http://www.somethingawful.com/flash/shmorky/babby.swf)

I dunno, this thing is a mess.

I didn't notice an emo kid, a pregnant woman is probably a pretty common sight in a large group of people and the doctor is in the right age range, robots have been around long before BSG, it's too soon to know if the creepy baby is the key to mankind's survival and I didn't see anything lazy about adding another alien species into the mix. I'll give you the glowing spine and the John Locke death though.

I like the new aliens, they add something interesting that was needed. I still have a problem with Pope being written and acted so TERRIBLY. Really all of his little group is comically bad. Hal... he's the emo kid! I never know if I should blame the writers, the actors, or both when a character is bad. I think I will blame both regarding Pope and Hal.

I don't know what to think about this show anymore. I'm kinda dreading where it looks like the show will be going. Two presidents, hybrid baby, Pope still alive.

I have been wanting to watch this show but havent seen a single episode . Is this a show that I can jump into now or do I need to go back and watch the previous episodes?

You could probably just read up on the basic premise to get the gist of it, and then jump in.

It's post apocalyptic sci-fi. Aliens have invaded and wiped out a big chunk of humanity. The show follows a small group of survivors/freedom fighters as they run from and fight against the aliens. The aliens have a way to enslave children by putting a bug thingy on their back that connects to their spines. The group makes it to Charleston where an even bigger group of survivors have managed to create a semi-safe home for themselves, although they are under constant threat of attack, and there are political shenanigans. There are some rebel aliens who have joined the humans, and there are another group of aliens who just showed up at the end of last season who appear to be on the humans side, but that is still a bit of a mystery.

The premise of the show is fantastic, but the writing is terrible at times. Some of the acting is awful, too. The special effects are pretty good, but obviously not big budget.

Thanks. I'm going to check it out. I saw the previews for this season and it looked good. I was just a little nervous about a show that had Noah Wyle as the lead character.
