Flashforward-Can someone summarize it for me??

Big Dick McGee

If you don't know, now ya know
Ok, I stopped watching after they took that long break, it was getting boring anyway. Wikipedia doesn't do a fully synopsis of the show, can someone more or less summarize the plot?? Was there a big "reveal" at the end??

Heres a summery, its shit

Well I know THAT! I was just wondering if you found out they flashed because they were all dead or something.

If the show is anything like the book then they flashed because of COSMIK RAYZ FROM GALAXIE FAR AWAY BLURBLAGH AT THE SAME TIME TEH LHC WAS CREATING BLACK HOLEZ AND DURING ONE OF WESLEY'S SCHOOL PROJECTS.

I never read the book but thats what wiki told me about it more or less.

It's only loosely based on the book, with the interesting characters and logical plot developments swapped for Murk "IT'S BECAUSE I WAS LOADED, OKAY?!" Benford and some annoying plot about a guy none of us care about traveling to Afghanistan to find his daughter who none of us care about who was abducted for reasons none of us care about. And she's dead now anyway.

But to answer your question BDM, no, nobody can summarise it. Seriously, the plot makes so little sense and is so unnecessarily complicated that it'd be hard to explain clearly what happened, nevermind why.

I just started to try and gave up after a paragraph.

The book actually sounded interesting but as soon as I found out that the TV adaptation takes place in LA I knew it would suck. There is no physics in LA.

No. Just concealer and hair spray.

DON'T DISS MARK BENFORD.

It was a good premise for about fifteen minutes, then it went all wonky with the plots mentioned above, that basically nobody cared about. Plus, the reactions to such an event were pretty mediocre, with everybody basically saying "Whew, that was fucked up. Glad it's over. So...we should probably investigate or something?"

I'm afraid we're gonna be seeing these "Diet-Lost" shows for the next year or two while they scramble to cash in on the void left by the real thing. Recipe: take one or more Lost Castoffs, add one slightly mysterious, slightly sci-fi plot, give every single character an overdose of angst and soap opera style secrets, and be sure to only half-bake the plotline.

Voila! All the ingredients, none of the flavor.

The main trouble was they had this five year plan all thought out in advance, so that people couldn't just say, they were making it up as they went along, the studios liked the five year plan so much they actually fought each other to be the one to make the show.

Unfortunately it seems like all the good stuff would have happened in the last four years, based on the evidence of the first, plus hiring actors with either no charisma, or for some reason telling them to tone it down if they initially had some, didnt really help the audience warm to anyone on the show.

It took till the mid season break for most of us to even remember the character names.

Being internet geeks we all kept watching just so we could complain about it every week, most regular Joes bailed rapidly after the pilot, thus ensuring when it came time to renewal, that five year plan didn't mean shit, because it got cancelled after the first.
