The running quarterback have relatively short shelf lives. Its always wiser, and healthier to rely on the pass game. The rushing will only get you so far for so long. The combination of the physical stress it puts on a running Qb combined with the eventual defensive decoding of the wildcat offense always leads to it's eventual failure. Cam is a big guy, he's been effective. But we've also seen the flaws in his style of play. (Super Bowl 50), and we've already seen the cracks in his game, due to the reasons listed above.
Cam should definitely keep a running play or two in his back pocket, but if he wants continued success, and longevity he's better off sticking to mostly more traditional style of play. A QB that puts his body on the line like he does can only last so long. His size has been his saving grace, but for how long?
Vick might have played that long, but he spent alot of that time second string. He was capable, but he had declined considerably. (Prison played a factor for sure) The others didn't run like Cam. Cam's best bet is to slow his roll, he could be a top tier QB for years. At his pace he risk losing a step before its time.
