For eloisel.............

There isn't any point in mass producing them until there is a better refueling system. No point in driving the thing to work if you can't drive it home. I've heard about plans to turn parking lots and garages into fueling stations so people can recharge their cars while they are at work. Good idea.

Compressed air is another good alternative - again it is the refueling that has to be addressed.

It isn't going to happen overnight. Not everyone can replace their car in a year or two with an alternative fuel vehicle. Same with putting service stations all over the place.

Supply and demand have to be developed equally.

All we can do is start.

Yes, but it's an oil economy, which we will shudderingly experience as we try to disconnect.

Vermont has an interesting microcosm going on with Fresh Network. We can compute the actual cost of food based on how much it costs to get it to the store.

Even more so now.

Actually, down here, Wal-Mart hasn't asked us for any ED incentives. They don't want to give us any power over them. Smart idea. We call the shots on wages, number of full time jobs, can't hire undocumented workers, etc.

Hey Sarek a serious question here.

How would you respond to someone (I do not share this belief) who says that Monopolies are created by government intervention?

Personally, I find that to be a load of crap because people who believe that don't understand how much influence corporations have over the government.

I don't know. Does it have anything to do with y'all fucking folks deeply in the neck up there?

Only I do that.

No, Monsanto fears us because when they tried to crush our own right to label our own products in our own state they got bit badly by it.

We are still the only state that labels Bgh in milk, and the only state that doesn't use it for shelf product.

and of course, you all know the long term results of regular Bgh consumption via milk in the diet, right?

I have not yet heard a single presidential candidate use gas prices as a campaign tactic. The candidate that promises to bring down gas prices will have my vote just for mentioning the problem.
