For The Dork Lord & ONLY The Dork Lord!!

Is it good?

Dork.. I got one of those advertisement book thingys in the mail today, it has all kinds of ornaments for Halloween, and Christmas ANYWAY I shit you not, there is a pickle Christmas ornament in it.

Cassie,

Can you scan the image of the ornament and post it?

I don't have a scanner but I did find a picture of one at wiki. WHO KNEW THERE WAS A CHRISTMAS PICKLE STORY?

OMG! THAT IS SO FUCKING WIERD!
THATS HILARIOUS!
WHAT DOES A PICKLE HAVE TO DO WITH THE BABY JESUS? OR
SANTA CLAUSE FOR THAT MATTER? WTF? SOMEONE PLEASE-

OH SORRY, I MISSED THE WIKI LINK, READING NOW........
I AM GOING TO ASK MY MOM ABOUT THIS, I DON'T REMEMBER ANYTHING ABOUT PICKLES WHEN I WAS A KID.

I read somewhere that it isn't really a German tradition. More of an American tradition.. even though I'd never heard of it.

Oh grrrr. Now I have to go read that link to understand what you are talking about. Double-Grrrrr!

LOL.. go down to the bottom of the page and there is a link to a site claiming it's a German tradition. If you google "Christmas pickle" you will find another site explaining where this myth might have come from.

Ah, thanks!

Pfff, of course this is complete and utter bullshit - everybody knows that Germans don't hang pickles on their Christmas trees!!

It is common knowledge that it was our use of sauerkraut as tinsel that got us the first prize in the international Christmas Tree Decoration Contest!

not yet it ain't!
