Fox does it again

That's because the last episode of Dollhouse, called "Epitaph One", was a show that Fox never ordered, and was never ever meant to be shown. It's very possible that it was a "These are the Voyages" type "let's wrap up all the plot lines in case the show gets cancelled" episode, as it is apparently set in the future compared to the rest of the show.

Fox ordered 13 episodes. That's the unseen pilot and 12 normal episodes. Fox is showing the 12 normal episodes with the season finale "Omega". They never ever planned to show "Epitaph One" because it wasn't a show they ordered.

well I am sorry to hear that; Wedon's shows seem to need time to grab their audience, don't they?
having said that, gotta say I was really struggling with this one ( and this from a Joss Is God -t-shirt-wearer).

The show isn't canceled yet! (not that I would really care if it was)

I still haven't seen it, but nobody's really made it sound worth the effort.

If it was never meant to be shown why was Felicia Day surprised it wasn't being shown? Surely someone would have told her.
