Frankie Cocozza

In the US, BB wouldn't air the housemates singing Happy Birthday because they wouldn't want to pay the royalty for it. They would also block it from the live feeds for the same reason.

We really have to reform copyright laws so that this kind of incidental playing of music isn't so prohibitively expensive, or when songs are used in a TV show that goes to DVD. It just sucks.

Yeah, all the beatles songs in the A team DVDs are now sung by tribute acts, and not very good ones at that.

Plus how can you release married with children on DVD and not secure the rights to love and marriage?

They always cut the live feed when the housemates are singing or music is being played. In fact they used to instruct the housemates not to sing copyrighted material so that they wouldn't have to cut the feed so often.

Yup, they do the same in the US only they go so far as to tell them not to whistle, hum, or even dance something that might be someone's copyrighted choreography. If they do the Macarena without being told, the feeds get blocked. It's ridiculous.

Yeah, I mean I'm glad I don't know any kids who are quite that shallow (or, you know, shallow enough to shamelessly speak in a shallow manner in public), but he wasn't so bad. I don't think we actually found out much about him beyond the fact that he loves going out, yeah, and pulling some well fit birds, yeah, and getting knee deep in clunge and coke, yeah, and clunge with coke in it, yeah, and then not remembering ANYThing the next day, innit. Classic night out innit. Something to tell the grandkids about (through secondary sources).
