I am just wondering if they could possibly have made the x files film trailer any less apealling.

I mean they are ticking all the boxes so far.

They tell us the film is from the makers of the x files, then they tell us it is the x files, wow, thats condiscending.

From the makers of cornflakes, its cornflakes!

Then theres the plot, there is a man who might be might be pychic, might be bullshitting, and after a dull minute or so of crap, mulder and scully turn up looking bored.

You wait five years or so for another x files film, you expect them to come back with something special, instead they come back with something that looks like it wouldnt even make a good episode, never mind a movie.

Reviews say it sucks.
 
Generally I dont take notice of reviews, but then I like a trailer to actually make me look forward to the film, not actively put me off seeing it
 
I want Mulder and Scully to finally DO IT.
 
I was looking forward to it, but on Rotten Tomatoes it was rated at something like 26%. It must've got many, many bad reviews to get that kind of score, so I'm inclined to accept it's accurate, but at the same time I can't believe they went ahead with it after so long if the script was shit. :(
 
The spoilers I've read don't sound too encouraging, though Billy Connolly is supposed to be good in it.
 
How could they have been so stupid as to release the week after Dark Knight's premiere?

Good or bad, it got completely lost in the shuffle at theaters this weekend.
 
Should have released it five minutes before the Dark Knight.
 
Unless it was done on purpose. Maybe the studio was trying to bury a bad movie, or set up a good excuse for why it failed? Instead of saying it was crap, they can just say they were unlucky going up against The Dark Knight and any movie would have done badly.
 
Just go out and see it already instead of sitting on your fat asses and dreaming about what it might be like.
 
I haven't even seen Dark Knight yet.

Hell, I haven't even seen Iron Man yet.

Duchovny and his dimples are going to have to wait their turn.

Iron Man was complete shit.
 
I thought Iron Man was pretty fun to watch, but I rarely go to the movies so it was just cool to be in the theater watching something on a giant screen.
 
The first 4 seasons of X-Files were excellent, with potted moments of excellence thereafter. The first movie was utterly forgettable. I can't see this one being much different.

Poor Gillian Anderson does pick some duffers, especially for a hot lassie who can act her pants off.
 
Was J&L always a twat? I can't remember.
