All In With The Nuts
...from the hot muggy living room into the bedroom with the ancient window AC. I finally turned it on to see if it still works, and despite being louder than ever, it does. I don't mind the noise since I'm watching the Met game, and hearing every word of the audio isn't crucial.

Thankfully I just bought a power strip with an extra long cord, so one of the laptops made the trip with me. (I could run on battery*, but then there's the external HDs, plus I like using a mouse so you need a table for that, so why not just move the whole kit OKAY???)

* I can run on battery because the wireless router arrived yesterday! w00t!
 
SAY HELLO TO YOUR TV FROM ME!
 
That's the trade-off: the living room has the nice new 32" widescreen LCD TV. The bedroom has the Sony 13" TV I bought 15 years ago.
 
At least you won't be dripping sweat on the laptop!

It just stopped raining here and the sun came RIGHT BACK OUT THE BASTARD, I was outside watching the roof steam.

Oh and the Mets are up 6-0 in the 8th, and take-out is on the way! SQUEE!
 
We had Chinese take out twice this week and tonight we're having coldcuts. SQUEE!

Its too damn hot and muggy to cook.
 
I've got antipasto, a turkey hero and some fried zucchini coming.

Oh, and Ruben Tejada may replace David Wright as my future Met husband.

One of the true joys of living in the Inland Empire region of SoCal, is that, since it gets hotter than the surface of the sun, ALL of the houses & apartments have central air. Coming from the East Coast, I dealt with plenty of summers where the damned window units just don't work, 'cause it's too muggy. I feel for you, brother!! But I must tell you that I'm upstairs in the loft and it's actually a bit cold right now...
 
I fucking hate all of you and have no sympathy for any of you. After 20 something fucking days of rain and no sunshine we finally had some sun today. A full day of sun. Sun. That thing that comes out when its summer or spring even. I HOPE YOU ARE DRIPPING WET WITH SWEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May you all boil in your own juices...it's winter here and cold and the rain doesn't want to let up. I miss the tropics, where winter doesn't exist.

You don't have power outlets in your bedroom?
 
I do have a power outlet in the bedroom. However, it's not the super-duper power outlet that can handle tons of load that they installed in the living room. So, when I'm running the air conditioner in the bedroom, I like to avoid running tons of other appliances off the bedroom outlet at the same time. It was easy to run the extention cord for the laptop from the living room.

My utility bill goes through the roof in the summer months...
 
I don't have an a/c here, utility bill W1N!! It gets hot though.
