No he doesn't, but there's no way he or a Dem Congress are going to let these kinds of bills make it to a House/Senate vote. This is officially a state/local fight for at least the next four years.

Congress just needs to repeal DOMA, period. Then they should get out of the business altogether. Full faith and credit, bitches.
 
On a positive note, a town in Oregon nominated the first transgendered mayor.

I'm not saying there's a problem if you're gay. The problem is if you act on it, want to get married, want to fuck up kids by parenting them, and get benefits at work.

If it weren't for heteros joining those kids wouldn't have been created in the first place. Who's more irresponsible? The straight couple for creating then abandoning their child, or the gay couple who wants to adopt it?

I know I'm not supposed to be a free thinker
and believe something that differs from the majority on this board
but, marriage is a union between a man and a woman.

That does not mean that civil unions where two people who wish to commit to each other on a level more intimate than just a business relationship shouldn't be allowed to do so.

Not just homosexual persons, but many people who are single, widowed, or divorced may choose to throw in their lot with another person of similar situation to make a home and help each other out in their lives. Those people face the same problems homosexual couples do in that they are "not family" and can't partake in insurance and tax benefits and are left out of decision making matters when more than likely they know the person the decisions need to be made for better than the far distant relative dug up to make the decision.

I like the term "life partner" better than spouse anyway.
