We all thought the show would go downhill when Eccleston left, and it got better than ever.

Damn! I still need to see the last 2 seasons! They out on DVD yet? The last one I saw was the one where the Titanic crashed into the T.A.R.D.I.S. Was the next season the last one that aired so far???
 
I thought he wanted to be the longest serving Doctor and the whole reason they delayed the next series was so he could stay? THE SWINE.
 
I guess not, although a lot of people speculated that the new producer would want a new doctor.

The thing I wonder about now is the title of the christmas special, the next doctor.

Well I guess James Nesmitt can finally fulfill his fantasy of being the star of EVERY DRAMA SHOW THE BBC MAKES!
 
They should make it a black dude, to "shake things up". Either that, or Keifer Sutherland as Jack Bauer as Doctor Who.

I thought Tennant was such a big fan that he'd end up outliving his welcome. Oh well. They've always got a handy way to bring him back if they ever feel like it.

Although a black actor currently is teh favourite to replace him.

I think I would prefare an unknown, someone who dosnt bring baggage with him into the roll like Nesbitt would.

Anyone who's watched the excellent Murphy's Law can tell that he is not the right man to play Who. Nesbitt plays hardmen & nutcases much, much better than anything else he's done.
 
Tom Baker could do it again. There were rumours of him returning for some kind of role, THIS COULD BE IT!

OR PATRICK FUCKING STEWART.
