I've watched the first four so far and I'm gonna watch episode five tonight. I'm pretty impressed by them. You were right, if they'd been this good in the first season it wouldn't have got such low viewing figures. I like how they've changed the whole dynamic of the show with the new government causing all the conflict, and not so much about survival anymore. They could've just been lazy and had the government leave immediately and have Jericho fighting to survive on its own again.
The only thing that's a shame is the characters that left. It was kinda funny the first few episodes when the mother wasn't around and nobody said anything.

Oh, you mean the deaf girl.. cripes, I'd completely forgotten about that. 
That was really sad, but it was stupid of her to go all Rambo on Ravenwood. Come on, they're professional killers! Still, running out back probably wasn't a good option either. I'm looking forward to seeing what the repercussions will be. I'm guessing the guy with the evil squinty eyes won't be in the land of the living for much longer...

Next week is the last one (ever?). 
I hope it doesn't end on another HUGE cliffhanger, but considering how much they have to tie up, it looks like it will. It was great to see Jake's mother and grandfather back again this week, but I don't get how Hawkins hasn't realised he's talking to Valenté. Has he not heard the guy's voice before?

I don't know! Hawkins is awesome though, love his scenes cause they're so intense.
I heard that they filmed two season finales, one to kind of end the series and one that is a cliffhanger in case they get picked up. So.. I hope it is the cliffhanger but it probably won't be.

Maybe they'll show the cliffhanger one anyway so the fans will get pissed off at the network again and send them cashews. Millions and millions of cashews.

The last episode rocked, so at least it went out in style. Still a few loose ends, but we can assume Hawkins survived and the town got back to normal after a while.
Oh except for that huge civil war. Maybe one day they'll bring it back for a special.
