Game Of Thrones season 5 CASTING NEWS

11527.imgcache.jpg

Tumblr says this is a picture of Cersei's walk of atonement being filmed, or SOMETHING.

That's...a pretty big spoiler, Cassie.

I edited spoiler tags around it and now you can get angry at me for VIOLATING your post.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Mister Eko) is joining the cast! Supposedly he's playing a new character named "Malko" but surely he'd be good as Moqorro who is too cool a character to be left out.

A girl Tomtrek found attractive once (Gwyneth Keyworth) is also going to be in it probably as a prostitute.

The spoilery thing Cassie posted was blurted out all over the place by news sites. Thankfully, I didn't read any of the articles to find out WHY it happens, but it was made very clear WHAT happens. Grr.

I was going to ask if you saw any filming or anything when you were in Dubrovnik before I remembered the first season was shot in Malta and that's where you were and they don't film there anymore. Do they rant bitterly about Dubrovnik in Malta?

No, in fact, I didn't hear a peep about GoT the whole time I was there. Quite odd considering tourism is their biggest industry. I only found out what was filmed where through American and British movie location nerd sites. I did read that one of the locations was damaged by the film crew, though, so maybe there is some animosity. :-/

I went to Malta quite a few times as a youngster on family holidays. I probably didn't appreciate all the ancient stuff as much as I would now. I remember going down catacombs (is that appropriate for a child, really!) Anyway this has nothing to do with GOT.

Just like Valerie Harper (Rhoda) last year - she started out the year saying she had 3 months to live, and 9 months later she was a contestant on Dancing With The Stars. She now says she'll never be cancer-free, but it's been in steady remission.

I started reading The World Of Ice And Fire. It's good (if you're interested in the history of a fictional world like I am!) But it's so big it's hard to hold.

There's some brief clips of the new season in this HBO video thing (in the second half.)

TYRION WEARS A HOOD HUGE SPOILER.

Young Cersei Has Been Cast For 'Game Of Thrones' Flashback

Young Cersei has been cast for an upcoming flashback in "Game of Thrones."

News recently broke that the hit HBO series would jump back in time at least once in the upcoming episodes. Now, thanks to a little digging on the part of Watchers on the Wall, we know that young actress Nell Williams will play a childhood version of Cersei Lannister. And she definitely looks the part.

Williams' previous credits include Jess in series "The Revolting World of Stanley Brown," and Young Birdy in TV movie "Loving Miss Hatto."

There's going to be an IMAX screenig of the last two episodes of season four with a trailer for the new season so that'll be good for the people able to see that.
