One issue that i’m curious about (and I’m not seeing it discussed in the media) is whether omicron will infer a good amount of natural immunity to coronavirus in general. Probably because there’s no money in natural immunity. However, a significantly more transmissible but milder version? Maybe we’ll get closer to that herd immunity one way or another soon. I don’t see the unvaccinated as victims so much. I feel victimized by them (to the degree they end up clogging hospitals and dying which should be the decision driver these days; not case rates). Do you not acknowledge that Covid is wildly different than the flu? Government has never widely attempted to mandate flu vaccines because 40k people dying a year from it (or whatever the number is) was tolerable. It wasn’t a drain on hospitals, the medical system and other institutions.
Meh-as I posted before maybe omicron will sweep through and infer natural immunity.
