Yes, but to those of us who don't live it daily, it puts a whole "Mary Poppins" aura around the activity. Like they'd be stripping the car with their pinkies extended.
I HAVE ANGLOPHILIA I'M DIASBLED GET OUT OF MY PARKING SPACE!!1
To me, Teatime was something I only had at weekends, because I've always eaten 'Dinner' at, say, 8-9pm on Saturday, and 1-3pm on a Sunday.
Teatime on Saturday is 4-5pm, when I actually do have a cup of tea, and something like a toasted teacake, or (yes) a hot buttered crumpet, or some other such item.
On Sunday, it's the same time, with a similar item of food, though as a kid I often had waffles on a Sunday.
I used to eat supper all the time when I was thin, then when I finished school, and didnt get a job, I seemed to go from 8 stone, to 10 practically overnight through lack of excersise, literally,
one day I just walked past the full length mirror in the living room, I remember it clearly, I was carrying my supper tray, and I saw I had a gut, and I said, "what teh fuck is that!"
Because it didnt come gradually, one day I just had a belly.
I've never called it supper, and from growing up very few people I've ever known do. As I grew up, I think we came to see it as a Northern term, that was used all the time on shows like Emmerdale & Coronation Street.
Oh, I scrolled the view point too look directly down and now I have a good idea that the Google car looks like that trvels around taking these pictured.
And I'm taking a look at all the shipping addresses I have of the people I've sent stuff to.
