If you don't know, now ya know
No baseball game last night, so I finally managed to watch Hawaii Five-O. OK, it's nothing new or earth-shattering in terms of plot or storyline, but the characters are worth investing some time.

Alex O'Loughlin's Steve McGarrett is an ex-Navy S.E.A.L., and Kono is of course played by Grace Park. She's a little too skinny in this show, but her character seems cool. Daniel Dae Kim is a little boring, but they didn't give him a whole lot to do.

The best part of the show is Scott Caan's "Danno". He brings a nice touch of humor to what could have been a deadly serious show.

A decent show, has potential.

I never watched the original. Why would I watch the remake?

Eh, it's somethin' to fill up the DVR and watch when there's no baseball or football.
 
I watched the first 5 minutes of the premiere. After the bouncy, familiar theme song, I saw the same old generic gritty CSI-style drama that I usually try to avoid.

Pass.

My DVR is already filled up with about 20-30 new or returning shows. Pass.

I watched the second episode last night. I'm sure it's going to be formulaic, but I still like it. The characters are engaging and very likable.
 
I may just watch the opening credits each week just to hear the song, and then flip over when the song ends.

HA! Now they have their name!
I am staying up past my bedtime for this one - I like it. It's eye candy and not much more but that's ok sometimes too.
