Today was gorgeous. 75 degrees and sunny. Beats that 8 degree morning Thursday!
Slept in, got up and played UO, got cleaned up and dressed, went shopping for new vegetarian recipe books, then went out for carnivore lunch, came home and mowed the lawn, working on the laundry and some light housekeeping.
Took a good long look at my porches. The front porch needs a good cleaning - furniture and all. There is no saving the back porch - it needs to be demolished and a new covered porch built. One of those sundowner things looks good. My current porch was mostly destroyed by high winds yanking the roof off of it then subsequent rain and snow damage. I'd miss my lights and fans though if I go with the sundowner. But, the sundowner can be retracted to avoid weather damage. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
Last week it was thinking about wrapping the windows in plastic and staple gunning quilts over them to help keep some warmth in the house.
This week it is how to get my outdoor living spaces up to ready to use.
I'm tasting lemonade and grilled veggies already!
