Part of me just wants to tell the writers to "buck up" and sighn some sorta contract, even if its not exactly what they want.

It's that or we could have a Lost episode where Jack has some kind of neurological virus which makes him recall the least interesting episodes of season two.

I onestly am not sure how good/bad their current contract is, do they even have a right to be anoyed about it?
