I find it hard to believe that HF would do something like this. And he came back to EI only recently, and they've been working on this for days? He's only been back for days. He hasn't done anything to piss off any of the membership. He's been clean on the board with posting. I dunno...
 
As you know, details about EI's security protocols are confidential to prevent the information from being used by would-be troublemakers to find loopholes. However, as the matter was discussed in in the SL for a number of days, you should feel free to ask a WD to answer affirmatively the general question of whether considerable evidence to support this conclusion was presented.

Suspicion based on viewing threads is utter crap.

They should just reveal the details to quell the shitstorm before it starts. Unless they enjoy this drama.
 
Newsflash for the newbies and a reminder for those who posted at SSBBS:

HeroicFool was aboslutely the biggest asshole at SSBBS in those days. The staff hated him with a passion. Anyone who read the SSBBS OQ files got a better understanding of just how much many of the admins and mods despised his troublemaking ass. He was the proverbial turd in the punchbowl. Okay? Follow me so far?

Now, the EI staff think they've got most of the TK trolls cleaned out, they're wondering what to do with the homegrowns like G1223 and LOTS, then HF coems bouncing back in.

It doesn't take a genius to figure it out.
 
Be that as it may, he was in no way an asshole on EI during his short return. Are you implying that EI's staff was prejudice against him based on his previous behavior on a board that no longer exists?

Uh...yeah. What did you think I was saying? On a board that's struggling to establish some form of control over the more argumentative members, having HF onboard is like having a snake under your bed. Add to that the fact that HF has had some bad RL allegations made against him...undesirable material for the happy, happy, joy, joy EI.

I like him though.
 
I do not know HF's personal life, and only vaguely remember him on SSBBS. All I am going with is how he treated me, and other members on EI during his time there in recent days. Maybe I am naiive, but I didn't think of him being a snake under EI's bed. I dunno.

Hope it all works out for the best for you. I'm sorry this had to come to this.

I rarely, rarely post on EI, so I don't ever get involved in many of the discussions going on. But boy, are they fun to read when I need a good laugh, or something needs to be put into perspective. Talk about people who need to loosen up some.

I think you're misunderstanding me. I'm not saying he's a bad guy. I'm saying he consistently held the staff's feet to the fire at SS to the point that they were looking for ways to get rid of him. They actually plotted then to ditch him. Why not now? Search out his posts here, and you will get an idea of what I'm talking about.

And we have a winner!!!! I'll bet the minute he showed up the ONLY thing that was disucssed was how to suspend him.

I suppose you just had to be there to understand why this 'smells' so much.

At the time of the OQ leak, one of the reasons that they were so explosive was because the Staff actually *did* plot against HF. There were threads with Admins and mods refusing to lift a suspension once it was over. There were threads about baiting him until he exploded so they could suspend him again. It went on and on and on, with the Staff actually plotting ways to ban him.

Now fast forward to 2006.

That history wasn't lost on the Staff when HF showed up again. I'm not saying he didn't do whatever they say he did. I have no clue really. It's unusual for HF to have a dual, but he might have. What stood out, was that Orpheus reported that they knew he had read the policy. They knew what he had read while he was back. That means they looked at every click. Do you know what kind of time that takes? You think they do that with everyone? Or do you think they just do that for someone they are trying to 'get'.

Someone meticulously spent their time and energy TO FIND SOMETHING. If that isn't pre-meditation what is it?
