Waiting for the telephone man to come and FIX MY INTERNETS. I've got a 25ft telephone cord running to the jack in the back of the house, because the normal one borked.

I will never forget that song. Now that I think about it, I must have been 9 the first time I heard it. I threw a FIT about it. My parents were divorced and I was spending my first summer with my dad after the big D. I heard the song at a friends house and I had to have it. He took me to TG&Y (remember those stores?), I searched through the 45's, I found it... OR SO I THOUGHT. I got home and it was this:

Which I HATED. I brought the little green 45 back home to my mom's and my slightly older stepsister couldn't believe I didn't want it. lol WHAT A NERD I WAS.

OH YEAH. The telephone man came over and LIKE MAGIC the phone thingy was working even though it wasn't yesterday :rwmad: Anyway, he fixed another jack so I could have one that's closer to my modem, and isn't shared with a telephone. HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY. Maybe my internet will be faster, so that's a PLUS.
 
My telephone line man arrived today as well.

Now i am SUPERFAST BABY as they took all the gremlins out and shot them, even the furry nice ones.

My DSL is out again. My bro is letting me use his air card. Telephone man to arrive sometime tomorrow.
 
My internets were down all yesterday morning. But once I finally called Time Warner, it came back while I was describing the problem to the rep.
 
I kept hoping that would happen! Sometimes they can jiggle the wires on their end and fix things, IMO.

Mine went out at 11:30 this morning so I did all the troubleshooting I know they're going to make me do, and then I waited an hour or so, but ended up having to call them anyway. The guy I talked to thinks I may have a bad modem, but since I don't have another one to test there's no way to tell.

Also, I hope I don't lose the signal after I hit post, AGAIN.
 
Let's hope he is attractive, and friendly to the notion of seeing his PENID in a JAR.
 
The signal strength on this air card is hovering around 31% most of the time, but now and then it goes to 100%, and then drops down to almost nothing. THIS IS WEIRD.

If I knew who was making that happen, I'd have another for my collection :rwmad:

My internet just started working again ALL ON ITS OWN. I've already called and canceled the telephone man.

ON THE OTHER HAND, my wireless router is acting weird now, so I unplugged it. I hope it isn't borked.
